Not In Kansas Anymore
XV seemed to just up and appear out of nowhere. He is a rapper from Witchita, Kansas and after listenin to him you would quickly dismiss all prejudice that might come with his hometown. XV has some real slick lines and even has some story telling ability. This is the first tape i have heard from him but its not his first. After doin a little research i found out hes been in the mixtape circuit since ‘08 and signed his record deal with Warner Bros last July. His most recent tape Zero Heroes was released this month and its real good. The tape has some quality appearances from Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, CyHi Da Prince, Donnis, and a few more. He also has production from J.Cole and super producer Just Blaze.
some call me vizzy, honeys call me often…gators on my shirt, what did it lacoste him?….Jesus Christ im good, please dont cross him
Im interested to see if this tape will help him get more of a buzz. I think the public just needs a chance to hear it. This definitely was more of an album. Its 15 tracks of quality features and productions. Im interested to see if people will catch on. Im definitely a fan. Check the tape out and see what you think!

“new york rappers said “son”, west coat n-ggas said “cuz”, mid-west rappers said “fam“….damn, no wonder i related”

Soul Glow
Fabolous jumped back in the mixtape game with The Soul Tape released earlier today. Im really lovin the tape, but then again Fab never puts out bad material. He is my favorite mixtape MC and always delivers. This tape is different than the previous though. Fab normally would borrow other peoples beats and maybe through one or two original beats on the tape. The Soul Tape is basically all original beats with only a few recycled beats. This tape is as good as his last c.d. (Loso’s Way) in my opinion. It has a few features from his Street Family crew and power artists like Lil Wayne and Ne-Yo. Another thing i noticed in the tape was a few Wiz Khalifa subliminal shots.
“As i get older i be lookin at what rap breeds….a bunch of tatted up n-ggas who can rap weed
After that line was kind of taken back wondering if he was talking about Wiz for sure. Then in another song he goes on to say.
“I know some R&B b-tches who can really blow….turkey burgers and hot chocolate, really ho?”
Fab is refering to Wiz singing on his songs and also to the Wiz and Natalie Nunn incident. Natalie Nunn is a reality tv star actor who claimed that Wiz invited her up to his hotel suite to have turkey burgers and hot chocolate. So after that I was certain who Fab was takin shots at. I really dont think Wiz wants to take on this rap battle, he should take the punches and not respond. He isnt the same type of rapper as Fab, i dont think Wiz could go toe to toe with Fab lyrically.
So you have great beats, a few great features, nasty punchlines, and a potential rap beef all on this tape. Id say its a no brainer to download. The great part about Fab’s tapes are that he has so many lines that you can hear a song a million times before and keep finding new lines that you might not of completely gotten the first million time you listened. He arguably is the punchlines king.

One thing you should know when you play the game….lies change, the truth stays the same..

Better Than Advertised
Here is a throw back from Harlem rappers Aasim and Jae Millz. The name of the track is God Wit The Flow Remix and they both go hard on it. Aasim was an artist on Bad Boy that really could spit but just never had that mainstream record to hit it big. He never ended up puttin an album out with Bad Boy. Jae Millz’s name might ring a bell. He is one one of the members of Young Money. I bet you had no idea that he could actually rap like this. I feel like Jae would do much better if he opted out and did his own thing like Curren$y did. I just dont think anyone knows that he is actually good and not just rapper in the shadows of Wayne, Drake, and Nicki. You can also look up some Jae Millz freestyle battles on youtube that might also leave you suprised.
no longer dreamin and hopin, now im pursuin and im still on that sh-t like whatever il run through em

Covert Coup
Alchemist and Curren$y leaked another track from their upcomming joint mixtape entitled Covert Coup. This track is called Full Metal and it is a short piece of greatness. If the majority of the tape sounds anything like this then I will be waiting impatiently at my computer to download it as soon as its available. Spitta drops a few gems in this track and his rhymes really seem to be getting better and better. This is pretty unique considering how we are seeing many popular artist’s music quality on the decline lately. There is no hook on this song, just a tough beat complimented by even tougher lines.
aint fly, they f-ckin mosquitos…dont work, they just cry, whine …f-ckin Pinot Grigio

S.O.U.L. Leak
Fabolous leaks another song off of his up comming mixtape entitled The S.O.U.L. Tape. This song is called Look At Her and it features Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie. This song is the part 2 of You Be Killin Em. This song is smooth and seems like somethan that would be on an album. Maybe Fab is stepping back from the non-stop punchline mixtape style and making this tape more like a mini album like Drake’s So Far Gone. The S.O.U.L. Tape is scheduled to drop on the 21st, so expect a download link to be posted here.
i mean girl look at you…im not gonna judge cuz i woulda threw the book at you

New DJ Drama
This song will be a hit. DJ Drama drops his first single off of Gangsta Grillz 3 entitled Oh My featuring Fabolous, Wiz, and Roscoe Dash. I definitely could imagine everyone requesting this in the clubs. The song also has star power and it beats so i really dont see how it can fail.
